Yoplait Frozen Smoothie Giveaway

The contest has ended!  The winner was Retsbar2Go!  Thanks for making my first giveaway a success!!

I am so excited to host my first ever giveaway! My Blog Spark offered me the opportunity to try out New Yoplait Frozen Smoothies and I jumped at the chance. My family loves smoothies, and my hubby and daughter were fighting over who got to be the taste tester! Yoplait and My Blog Spark sent me a Yoplait  frozen Smoothie gift pack which included a personal blender and a coupon for a free package of the Yoplait Smoothies.

If you are looking for a healthy way to fit essential nutrients into your diet, Yoplait wants to help! The antioxidant-rich fruit in Yoplait smoothies can be a great way to help you get all the important vitamins and minerals your body needs.

Did you know seven out of 10 Americans do not consume the daily recommended amount of fruit? Every Yoplait Smoothie contains a full serving of fruit as well as real Yoplait yogurt pieces with live & active cultures. Yoplait Smoothies are a good source of calcium when prepared with milk according to directions, and an excellent source of antioxidant vitamin C.

The smoothies are available in three yummy flavors, Strawberry Banana, Strawberry Mango Pineapple, and Triple Berry.  We decided to try the Strawberry Mango Pineapple.  Simply add milk to a Yoplait freezer package, blend, and in less than two minutes you can enjoy a nutritious and delicious smoothie guilt free! At 110 calories per serving, Yoplait Frozen Smoothies make creating the at-home smoothie convenient, simple and worry free.  If it sounds simple, IT IS!  Within 2 minutes, we were enjoying a very tasty smoothie that satisfied all of us!  I'm a huge mango fan, and I was very happy with the amount of mango in the smoothie package.

If you are interested in trying this delicious frozen smoothie, click here for a $1.25 coupon. Thanks to Yoplait and My Blog Spark, I am also giving away a Yoplait gift pack, just like the one I received.

My Super Kroger Savings!

Saturday was not a great day for me healthwise, but I was determined to take advantage of some great sales that Kroger was having. I went through my coupons, matched them to the sales and pulled out my soon to expire free coupons, as well as the Digiorno free pizza coupons for my upcoming house party!
Kroger was out of several items I wanted, but I was more than happy to take what I got! Thanks to a wonderful heads up, I signed up for Recycle Bank and I chose to cash out with Coke coupons. My mom cashed out with both Coke and Simply juice coupons and promptly handed them to me. The 6 pk plastic 1/2 liter Coke products were on sale for $2 per 6pk(limit 5)! I was thrilled to be able to pick up soft drinks for $1 per pack after coupon!! The small bottles of the Simply juices were on sale for $1 each, so I was able to get them FREE!
I had coupons for many of the things I purchased, as well as the Shortcuts and Cellfire coupons that were loaded on my card. When we checked out, the total before coupons was $161.99. My hubby almost passed out! I told him to wait for the final total, and when all was said and done, we got out of Kroger paying $34.79. Hubby was thrilled, and has bragged to anyone who would listen about how I saved us over $127 on our grocery bill!
I just looked online to realize the sale continues another week! Guess who is planning a return trip!

Are you Team Over Or Team Under?

I had not really thought about it until I was offered the opportunity to enter for a month's worth of Cottonelle toilet paper from Mom Bloggers Club.
I'm a team under person! I prefer it to come off that way because my cats seem to leave it alone. Please take the over/under poll and let us know what your preference is! I'm curious too, leave me a post telling me what your preference is and why!
Make sure you leave a comment on my post and you're entered to win 1 of 10 Cottonelle gift baskets randomly chosen on January 29, 2010 from all entries.
Thanks and I can't wait to see what you prefer!

Sunday Stealing: The Current Obsessions Meme

Welcome back to Sunday Stealing. Sunday Stealing originated on WTIT: The Blog authored by Bud Weiser. Here we will steal all types of memes from every corner of the blogosphere. Our promise to you is that we will work hard to find the most interesting and intelligent memes. You may have heard of the expression, “honor amongst thieves”. In that age-old tradition, we also have our rules. First, we always credit the blog that we stole it from and we will “fess up” to the blog owner where we stole the meme. We also provide a link to the victim’s post. (It’s our way of saying “Thanks!”) We do sometimes edit the original meme, usually to make it more relevant to our global players, to challenge our players, sometimes to select that meme’s best questions, or simply to make it less repetitive from either this new meme or recently asked questions from a prior featured meme. Let’s go!

Today we ripped this meme off a blogger and blog named Minnestota Mom. We stole one of our first memes from her after we started this blog. That was back on September 7, 2008. The big difference is the Minnesota Mom actually wrote this meme! She tells us about herself: "My passions are reading, art in its many forms, and health. And I love cookies. Lots of cookies. Does that go with health? Probably not. But I loves ‘em anyway…" (We did add some questions to fit our format length.)

Bye Bye 2009 & Hello 2010

I can't believe how fast 2009 flew by. So much happened during 2009, and most of it was NOT good. The economy was crappy and while our gas prices and bills went up, the government said our cost of living did not...HUH? So...hubby's job said no cost of living increases or any other raises. GRR!

On to other 2009 facts...
My daughter (future FBI), finished elementary school by earning the President's Award for Academic Excellence!
We went to Seattle for a 10 day vacation and to visit with my hubby(chefy)'s family. The best part was our Twilight trip to Forks, La Push, and Port Angeles, WA.
We took over a thousand vacation photos, including one of Future FBI with Edward(well a cut out anyway)LOL!
This fall Future FBI started Middle School and we found out how different it really was from Elementary! The good thing is that she is thriving and making mostly A's with an occasional B.
Chefy has been a lot healthier, but he did work a lot of hours and had to take over all the driving responsibilities from me.
My health was crappy in '09. I was hospitalized 5 times, for a total of 30 days! I contracted MRSA 3 years ago and continue to have flare ups. When they occur, my blood sugars go off the chart, so I have to get IV antibiotics and insulin shots. My fibromyalgia gives me a lot of pain, as well as the arthritis I have in most of my joints. My rheumatologist has diagnosed me with something called Sjogrens Syndrome. We'll be working on treating that in the months to come. My episodes have gotten worse, so I no longer drive. I have sudden onset episodes of sleepiness, that includes heavy yawning and fatigue. I have no idea when I fall asleep, and I know I nodded off once at the wheel. After that, I hung up my keys! I'm praying that 2010 will give me some type of diagnosis and treatment!

I'm glad to see 2009 go into the history books and I have faith that 2010 will be better!
I am planning to blog more in 2010 and will also be holding my first ever blog giveaway! I'm very excited about that and about this year as a whole! Thanks for reading and I hope you will continue to follow my blog!
Happy New Year and May God Bless You All!
