A is for Ketchup Review ~ Holiday Gift Idea

Reading is one of my most favorite past times.  I am thankful that I have passed that on to my love ones.  The books I most remember from my childhood are the ones that were funny.  If they were boring, I would put them down and go on to something else. Although my taste in reading material has changed over the years, I still love a good book.

My family was offered an opportunity to review a very cute book by Xavier Finkley, "A is for Ketchup."  This book was released through Amazon's CreateSpace, which makes it even better!  The book is adorable!  It helps a child memorize the alphabet through rhyming, and then it gives an incorrect example of each letter.  One of my favorite lines is, "U is for OUCH!  You'd better take care!  'Cause U is for Urchin with spines everywhere."  Laura Garcia did a fabulous job on the illustrations too!

This book would be an ideal Christmas gift for any beginning reader, or for any child that has stories read to them.  This book has become a favorite of little man and little miss, and our teenager loves to read it to them because it is humorous.  A is for Ketchup can be purchased at Amazon.com for $9.99 right now on paperback.  The Kindle edition is also available.  It is a top pick for young children on our Holiday Gift Guide for 2012.
