ALEXANDER AND THE TERRIBLE, HORRIBLE, NO GOOD, VERY BAD DAY | Prize Pack Giveaway

Disclosure:  I will be receiving the same prize pack shown below as a thank you for hosting this giveaway. No monetary compensation was received.

Growing up, I loved to read.  One of the books that I loved to read was “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” which was written by Judith Viorst.  I liked the book because it was about things going wrong, and it was funny.  I would read this book to my little brother before bed and we laughed so hard it took us forever to get to sleep.  I was thrilled to learn that the book was becoming a movie, and I cannot wait to see it.  Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day will be in theaters on October 10th.

Disney’s “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” follows the exploits of 11-year-old Alexander(Ed Oxenbould) as he experiences the most terrible and horrible day of his young life—a day that begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by one calamity after another. But when Alexander tells his upbeat family about the misadventures of his disastrous day, he finds little sympathy and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him. He soon learns that he’s not alone when his mom (Jennifer Garner), dad (Steve Carell), brother (Dylan Minnette) and sister (Kerris Dorsey) all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Anyone who says there is no such thing as a bad day just hasn't had one.

One lucky Shelly's Bits and Pieces reader will receive the adorable prize pack shown above.  The prize pack includes:

Train is back! Bulletproof Picasso Drops on September 16th!

Disclosure: I received this product, free of charge, from Train, via the One2One Network, for review purposes on this blog. No other compensation, monetary or in kind, has been received or implied for this post. Nor was I told how to post about it.  All opinions are those of the Shelly's Bits and Pieces family!

Do you remember TRAIN?  I remember rocking out to “Hey Soul, Sister", falling in love with “Drops Of Jupiter” and “Calling All Angels"!  If you loved them as much as I did, then you’re going love Bulletproof Picasso, the newest album from Train, because it is awesome!

Finally, some music that adults can enjoy!  Don't get me wrong, I do enjoy listening to some of Kat's music, but Bulletproof Picasso has given me a new music life!  I can actually listen to something that is clean and is not being sung by a teen queen.

Bulletproof Picasso is being released on September 16th (but is available for pre-order on Amazon and  iTunes)! Thanks to One2One, I was lucky enough to be able to check it out before it's release! WOOHOO!  Chefy and I have been listening to the CD since we received the download and we love it.  My favorite song is "Don't Grow Up So Fast."  It really made me think.  I look at my 16 year old and I think that she is growing up too fast...this song nails it!  I also love "Angel in Blue Jeans" and the title song "Bulletproof Picasso."  OK...I admit, I love this entire CD!  (I even caught Kat singing along!)  The songs on this CD are varied and cover a large variety of things.  They go from a wide open "Cadillac, Cadillac" to the very touching "Don't Grow Up So Fast."  Bulletproof Picasso has something for everyone!

Here is the tracklisting for Bulletproof Picasso:
1. Cadillac, Cadillac
2. Bulletproof Picasso
3. Angel In Blue Jeans
4. Give It All
5. Wonder What You’re Doing For The Rest Of Your Life
6. Son Of A Prison Guard
7. Just A Memory
8. I’m Drinkin’ Tonight
9. I Will Remember
10. The Bridge
11. Baby, Happy Birthday
12. Don’t Grow Up So Fast
