Use Groupon Coupons to Save Money!

Disclosure:  This is a sponsored post, however, all opinions are honest and my own!

Ever since I became unable to work, my main job became saving money for my family.  Couponing is a huge way that I do it.  I mix the coupons with sales and take advantage whenever possible.  One of the problems I have is that I live in a small rural community and our local newspaper does not have coupons in the Sunday paper.  With this being said, finding coupons to use can become expensive when you have to buy them from outside sources.  Thankfully, I have discovered Groupon Coupons and I can save money where ever I shop!

In the past, I used Groupon coupons to save us money when we went out to dinner, stayed at a hotel, and even on going to special events.  Now I use them to find deals and coupons for my favorite stores!  We take a lot of photographs and I can always find coupons to save money at Walgreens.  It is not only the photo department where I can save money.  There is also a section of paperless coupons that you can use either online or in the store.  Simply click on them to add to your Balance Rewards card and you can use them right away.

Since Back to School time is quickly approaching, another store I shop is Kohl's.   I simply looked on Groupon and I find out about sales and I find discount codes that I can use while shopping online to save even more money.

Thanks to the Groupon Coupons, I have been saving money with almost everything I buy.  What stores would you use choose?

About the book:
Unashamed: Healing Our Brokenness and Finding Freedom from Shame offers hope to those struggling under the burden of shame. This book shines the life-giving light of the gospel on the things that leave us feeling worthless and rejected, directing our attention to the God who promises to forgive and restore us—no matter what.

I must be honest with you and tell you that I have not finished reading this book. It arrived while we were on vacation and things have been crazy since our return. I have read the first 4 chapters, and I am impressed.

Everyone has something in their life that they feel ashamed about, we are human and we don't forget what we have done in our past. It has taken me a long time to realize that when I turned over my sin and shame to God that he took it away and has washed my slate clean! This book reinforces that! God forgives us of our sins and he wants us to feel unashamed! Chapter 3 of this book really touched me. It deals with body shame and it is something that I have dealt with for years. As a child I was told I was too skinny and that I needed to eat more, I was called names by other kids and I was ashamed of how I looked. When I got older, I gained weight and have felt the shame and humiliation of being the fat girl! We need to remember that we are God's creations, and are beautiful in His sight!

There are many things that stand out about Un-Ashamed. I really like the fact that each chapter begins with a quote or a scripture. I laughed when I saw that the body shame chapter had a quote by Lady Gaga, but the quote fit perfectly.

Back to Blogging

Hello everyone!  It feels like I have been away from this blog for a long time, and in a way, I have.  My mind has not been on blogging since October of last year when Kat went into the hospital.  That seems like such a long time ago, because so many things have happened since then.

Kat was able to go back to school the 2nd semester and she maintained her A average even after completing the first semester online.  She was named a Person County Scholar and graduated with honors.  We could not be more proud!!  She plans to join the US Navy and will be going in August to get things underway.  She decided to take the summer off, just like her college bound friends.  She has been keeping busy going to the gym and working out 6 days a week, and spending time with her family and closest friends.  She will turn 18 at the end of the month, and we just wanted her to enjoy her last summer at home.

Chefy is doing much better since his sepsis scare.  He is now taking insulin to keep his blood sugars under control.  I've been dealing with a bit of depression.  Kat and I are very close and the thought of her leaving is very hard on me, but I know it needs to happen.  I have to let her spread her wings.  I'm just going to miss her...A LOT!  Grandma has been having a series of mini strokes.  We're all concerned about it, and since they began, her alzheimer's is worse.  Mama lives with Grandma and cares for her, and it has been very hard on Mama.

We did manage to take a cruise for Kat's graduation!  We took the Carnival Ecstasy from Charleston, SC to the Bahamas.  I'll be filling you in on that with some very cool review posts.

Better be ready....I'm revved up and ready to blog!  Until next time...God Bless You all!
