CD Review: A Girl Like Me by Julie Elias #ad

Once again, I'll start off by telling you that we love Christian music.  We also love finding out about new singers and discovering their stories.  Today, I want to introduce you to Julie Elias.  Julie had a life in Hollywood where she was an actress who appeared in "Grey's Anatomy" and "CSI:NY."  When she realized that this was not bringing her happiness, nor making her content, she surrendered herself to what God wanted her to do.  She became a Christian singer/songwriter whose unique and inspiring story became an influence in Christian music.  She uses her own stories about, beauty, rejection and her own faith to encourage others.

In 2014, Julie founded Aurora Ministries.  It is a 501c3 non-profit organization that creates Christian material and events designed specifically for tween and teen girls.  Julie has been able to share God’s role in her life through blogging, booklets, music, conferences and girls' events.  Realizing that God had an important role in her life, even when she didn't realize He was there, enabled Julie to find common ground with and inspire young women all over the globe.
