5 Pets That Won’t Aggravate Your Allergies

Do you feel ready to take the responsibility of owning a pet? Pet allergies might be coming in the way of making the wish come true.

You need to first understand exactly what you are allergic to. Simple medical tests can tell you if you are allergic to the animal or to any dust/pollen particles that might have caused any allergic reactions. Once you know the allergens that are triggering your allergies, you can narrow down on which animal you want to welcome home.

Here are some common pets for your consideration:

There are many types of lizards that you can buy and maintain easily. Bearded dragons are compact lizards that are easy to maintain in hotter climates. There are also many types of geckos that require less effort to keep. Chinese water dragons are less aggressive than iguanas, making them are a more preferred lizard. A chameleon might seem like a good option as a pet but the amount of maintenance that they need is very high. So, if you are planning to get a chameleon, consider the amount of care you need to take of it.

Multiple kinds of turtles and tortoise are legal to keep as pets. Both turtles and tortoise need well set up habitats for their survival. Discount pet items and medications that you find online can help you set up and care for your exotic pet. Once you know how to care for your tortoise or turtle you have a pet to last you almost your whole lifetime.

The most common pet is a fish. Setting up a proper aquarium and watching your fish multiply is an enriching experience. Unlike some carnival goldfish in a bowl, your fishes will have a long life if you are able to put in the work. Building a fish-friendly ecosystem has its own rewards. Once you get a breeding pair of fish that spawns wells in captivity you can get hooked.

There are some cats that produce low amounts of allergens. These cats are generally considered hypoallergenic cats. No cat is entirely hypoallergenic, they produce fewer allergens hence they are “considered” hypoallergenic. Some cat breeds you might consider are:

There are many other species of hypoallergenic cats. If you do have pet allergies ask your doctor if you can get a cat. With your doctor’s permission, contact authorized breeders or adopt from recognized organizations to get the breed you are looking for.

Just like cats, no dog breed is fully hypoallergenic, they simply produce fewer allergens hence some allergic people can get them. Some breeds of dogs that are considered hypoallergenic are:

Bichon Frise
Portuguese Water Dog
Shih Tzu
Yorkshire Terrier

There are more breeds that American Kennel Club lists as hypoallergenic dogs. When adopting a hypoallergenic dog take them first to a pet salon to give it a spa day. The spa day for your new dog is more for you than them because the cleaning will strip them of any allergens that they might be carrying from other dogs.

Your Healthy Diet Shouldn't Leave Your Budget In The Red

We all know that we should be trying to make our diets as healthier as possible these days. Eating better is a great way to build up our health and help protect against a whole range of illnesses and health conditions. However, some people still struggle to add an extra portion of veggies to their meals. It’s not because they don’t like all those greens - it’s because eating healthily can be extremely expensive. For some people, it’s cheaper to fill their kitchen with processed foods and ingredients rather than fresh fruit and veg and whole grains.

Is this the main reason why you aren’t eating as well as you should? If so, fear not. In fact, it can be very easy to eat healthily on a tight budget once you know how you can save money. Read on to find out more!

Create A Weekly Grocery Budget

We all know that creating a monthly budget is the best way to keep our finances in good shape. Hopefully, you’ve already got such a budget that you enter in all your income, regular outgoings, and one-off expenses. Well, it’s also a good idea to create an individual budget for your weekly groceries as well. That way, you can take a closer look at exactly how much you are spending on your food everytime you go to the supermarket. To do this, simply set yourself an amount for your weekly groceries. Make sure that you buy everything you need for the week in just one visit, as that will create less chance of you going over budget. Thanks, to this new budget, you’ll be able to control your spending more and will have more cash left over to go on healthy foods and ingredients.

Write A Shopping List And Stick To It

Next, it’s important to write a shopping list. Once you have done, you should stick to it! One of the main reasons why people struggle to afford their monthly groceries is because they get easily distracted when in the supermarket and end up buying things that catch their eye. Supermarkets are always putting on special deals, some of which aren’t really worth it, and it’s certainly pointless wasting your money on these items. So, plan in advance what you are going to eat for the week, and then you will find you have more to spend on your core shopping list.

Eat Seasonally

It’s also a good idea to try and eat as seasonally as possible. If you buy items that are out of season, especially fruit and vegetables, you will find that your weekly grocery shopping will work out very expensive indeed! That’s because it can be very expensive to produce and grow certain foods out of their natural season. And all of this cost will come down to you, the customer. So, it’s best to stick to a seasonal diet to try and keep your shopping costs down. Thankfully, each season has plenty of healthy veggies and fruits you can try, so eating this way will never end up boring!

Look For Restaurant Deals And Discounts

Whenever you eat out, you should try and look for restaurants that you know are going to have healthy options on the menu. Try not to just stick to fast-food outlets or convenience restaurants as the dishes they serve up will be really bad for your health. Unfortunately, health-food restaurants and those with a focus on healthy vegetarian cuisine can often be very expensive. There is a way around this, though. You just need to look for deals and discounts offered by these kinds of restaurants. If you look here for more information, you can see that you can even treat yourself to some gift cards for various restaurants. So, why not ask for some of these cards for your birthday?

Delicious roasted cauliflower soup and vegetable lasagna @alloraatl . It has been one of the best restaurants we have tried using the deal in the @diningoutatl passbook! Chic ambiance, tasty food and friendly staff! Enjoy 2-4-1 entree deals @alloraatl and 90 other restaurants when you purchase the passbook using ➡️ PROMO CODE JMIT18 ⬅️ In just two meals, this coupon book pays for itself!  Swap To Cheaper Brands

Next time you go shopping, it’s worth taking a bit of extra time to consider all the different food brands that are on the shelf. How do the prices of the brands you normally buy compare to some of the others? There’s a chance that changing your habit could get you some cheaper food prices. In fact, if you often go for branded food and ingredients, it’s worth switching to the supermarket own brands as they are often a lot cheaper. You don’t have to worry about a decline in the quality - generally speaking, supermarket own brands are just as good as the premium products on the shelf!

Cook From Scratch

Do you regularly cook convenience food and ready meals? If so, this is a habit that you need to nip in the bud as soon as possible! It often works out so much cheaper to cook everything from scratch. Fast food and convenience meals are often overpriced, and they simply aren’t worth it. Not only that, though, but they will be packed full of calories and sugar, and will make it incredibly easy for you to gain a lot of excess weight. If you are one of the people who struggle to find the time to cook healthy family meals from scratch, there are some solutions. One of the best, though, is to batch cook at the weekends when you do have time. Cook large portions of meals and then portion them up before freezing. Through the week, you just have to take out as many portions you need and reheat them ready for dinner.

Don’t Shop When You Are Hungry

One of the biggest mistakes many people make is going to the supermarket on an empty stomach. When you are hungry, you will be easily tempted to buy all the delicious-looking food that comes into your eye line. This will not only push up the cost of your weekly shop, but it will also mean you are more likely to buy unhealthy food too.

Once you follow all the tips above, you should find that healthy eating becomes a lot more affordable for you. Bon appetit!

Indebted To Tech: How To Break The Chain

Advancement in technology is one of the greatest inventions of modern times. Think about how much the world relies on the internet and cell phones today. There is hardly a patch on earth on the planet which isn’t impacted. And, its rise has been meteoric. The internet was a 90s invention yet it has taken it less thirty years to immerse society fully. Plus, the surge isn’t finished, not by a long shot.

It’s easy to see why tech has become a major part of modern life. Cell phones, tablets, and laptops with connectivity are instant. Turn it on and you can be on the grid in a matter of seconds. The world is open to you and it’s accessible from any location on the planet. Also, there is the ease of use. Imagine living a life without a microwave or a fridge. The sheer effort it would take to transition would be monumental.

Unfortunately, technology is leading people into debt. Conventional wisdom says it can get the poor out of a funk and into the black. Information Age sets out how this can be the case. But, for every action, there is a reaction. Here’s how tech may hurt your finances.

Long-Term Contracts

Human nature means people want the newest gadgets and gizmos. From a vanity perspective, it’s an excellent way to show off to the world. The fact that you are one of the first followers to own an iPhone X is a statement of intent. You are a wealthy individual who doesn’t take prisoners. Everyone look and take notes. The only issue with investing in the newest technology is the contract.

Bad deals are rife because buyers have to agree to long-term contracts. Today, it’s common to pay $50 a month for a phone and data which lasts for two-years. Anyone who wants to get out of it has to pay the remaining amount off in full. In short, tech companies have your short and curlies in a vice and aren’t scared of squeezing.

Thankfully, sellers exist that don’t insist on 24-month deals. And, it isn’t as if download speeds are slow or the product is inferior in any way. They merely want to offer a service which suits both parties.

Suppliers tell you the cost of a monthly contract in advance of taking the money. Still, there’s a good chance that this won’t end up being the final amount. Why? It’s because users often go over their limits and incur extra charges. Data is a perfect illustration. Without wifi, the phone connects to the Web via 4G. When you are within the specified limits, this is fine because it’s already covered in the deal. However, when the bolt-ons are empty, it’s very costly.

Technology isn’t full to blame but it plays a major role. Firstly, the need to have a connection is an issue. Anyone who can go a few hours without surfing the internet wouldn’t need to fork out a great deal of cash. Secondly, the layout makes it difficult to see when and where you are spending money.

The most basic thing you can do is understand the bill and stick to the limits. If there is 1GB of data and 500 messages, then keep track of how many you use.

Transient Memory

For those who don’t know the term, it’s when you let other things act as your memory. For example, parents rely on their kids concerning tech because they are the experts. When something goes wrong, moms and dads speak to their children to fix the problem. In many ways, lots of people rely on technology to fulfill their responsibilities.

Think about online banking and setting up a monthly payment. Maybe you’re single and use Tinder? In this case, signing up to the “Gold” option costs money but you want to try it for a month regardless. Better to see if it works than dismiss it out of hand. Because you don’t have to make the payment physically – PayPal does it – it’s easy to forget. Before long, three months have passed and you’ve wasted 90 days’ worth of subscription money.

Those who sign up to trial periods and reduced memberships should cancel them as soon as possible. That way, you can still use it until the end of the deal and it doesn’t automatically renew. Or, and this is old-school, you can write it down and cancel it the day before or on the day.

Safety And Security

The only way to lose money twenty years ago was to drop it down the sofa. Or, if you were unlucky, a bank robbery may take place at your establishment of choice. Now, all it takes is a weak server and an online connection to steal credit card information. Hacking is a real danger and it happens because of technology.

As tech has advanced, savvy thieves have come up with ways to use it to their advantage. Phishing scams evolved as email became one of the most popular ways to communicate, for instance. Where there is a way, there is a way for these people.

The trick is to be wary at all times. Buy quality antivirus and firewall programs to keep hackers at bay. Also, never follow links from emails. Type the URL manually to be sure.

No one is content with their lot any longer. There is always something bigger and better. Homeowners are terrible for this because it’s essential to keep up with the Joneses. Forget that it’s a never ending cycle – it has to be done!

As a result, houses are full of stuff that finishes their lives as junk. Blenders and slow cookers and the next new-age, must-have products go to the goodwill store or get thrown in the trash.

Not buying them, in the beginning, can save a homeowner a small fortune. Then, the money can be spent on things such as staying out of debt. What a novel idea.

Is technology encouraging you to live beyond your means?

Bad Habits That Are Leading You Into Debt

Debt sucks! You probably don’t need us to tell you that fact, but as a warning, some of the consequences of debt include…

- The effects on your mental and emotional state
- The loss of financial freedom
- A poor credit score
- Possible repossession of material things, and even bankruptcy

Depressing, isn’t it! Now, there are things you can do to get out of debt if you have fallen into the trap. You can…

- Start to budget your money properly
- Come to an agreement with your debtors
- Seek help from a debt-relief charity
- Use credit restoration services

However, while there are ways to help yourself should you fall into the pit of debt, you should still make every effort not to get into a financially rocky position in the first place. To ensure you feel financially secure, look at the following habits that could lead you into debt, and make every effort to avoid them.

                                                    Avoid these bad habits

  • Not having an emergency fund. Set aside some money each month, just in case you fall into difficulty. You never know when an emergency will happen - your car breaks down, you lose your job, your home needs sudden repairs - and if you don’t have the money to deal with them, you may be forced to take out a loan to manage the problem.
  • Spending more than you earn. You need to live within your means - not spending more money each month than you can afford. Squandering your money is going to lead you into trouble, and using your credit cards to pay for bills when your income can’t cover them, is going to send you over the edge financially. Budget what you have - and if you can’t cover your expenses - look for ways to lower the costs.
  • Making late payments. When you make late payments on bills or credit cards, you are going to cause a bigger headache for yourself. Your credit score will be affected, and you may be hit by higher rates from your creditors. If you know you can’t afford to pay something on time, speak to the company involved as soon as possible, as they may grant you some leeway. Automate your payments too, especially if you are prone to forgetting those all-important payment dates.
  • Not getting insurance. You will never fall ill. Your home will never be burgled. Your car will never get involved in an accident. Poppycock, of course. Never ever think you are safe from harm. You are not infallible, and trouble may be just around the corner. If you are adequately insured, your back will be covered, and certain expenses will be alleviated. If you’re not...say hello to financial misfortune.
  • Procrastinating. Don’t leave it until tomorrow to invest into a retirement fund. Don’t leave it until tomorrow to ask for financial help. Don’t leave it until tomorrow to tear up your credit cards. Don’t leave anything until tomorrow that is going to cause you financial harm in the future. What we are saying is this: sort out your financial well-being today!

If you don’t want to fall into debt, ensure you avoid the bad habits we mentioned. Form good habits instead - spending wisely, budgeting, asking for help - as these will stand you in better stead now and in the future. Take care, and thanks for reading.

It's Never To Late To Feel Financially Secure!

bank, banking, banknotes

Money is almost certainly one of the most common causes of anxiety for the vast majority of people in the modern era. Whether you like it or not, there are few things in life that you can do without money coming into play in some way. Even if you want to do something that doesn't technically cost anything, like something as simple as spending the day at the beach with your family, you're still going to have to take time off work which will impact your income. When faced with situations like that it's understandable that many people are so worried about their finances. Not only that but a lot of people find themselves in some kind of financial trouble which can often make them feel as though they're going to be stuck like that forever. However, no matter how desperate your financial situation may seem, they're never a lost cause. Here are a couple of things that you can do in order to pull yourself out of any financial difficulty.

Consolidate your debts

Debt is one of the scariest words in the English language for a lot of people, and it's the kind of thing that can make it feel impossible to fix your financial situation. However, there are things that you can do in order to make your debts more manageable. One of the best is to consolidate them with a single loan that reduces your debts down to a single, more manageable payment. Of course, if you're in debt then your credit score may well not be in the best possible shape. Luckily there are plenty of companies that offer personal loans in order to help with just these situations. Of course, if you're using a loan to cover your debts, just make sure that you can actually afford the repayments. Otherwise, you're going to end up starting the cycle all over again.

Curb your spending

One thing that far too many people simply refuse to face up to is the fact that most of us are simply spending way too much money on a regular basis. You might think that because you are disciplined about ignoring large and expensive purchases that you're frugal with your money but it's actually the smaller purchases that make the biggest difference. A little bit of money here and there might not seem like much but that can add up incredibly quickly, and before you know, those small purchases can lead you to spend more than you can actually afford and your bank balance is going to end up suffering for it. Shopping at places like Better Day Store can be incredibly helpful. However, it’s a good idea to keep a close eye on every single purchase that you make, no matter how small.

A lot of people tend to make the mistake of hiding their heads in the sand when confronted with financial difficulty in order to avoid having to think about it too much. However, that's by far the worst thing that you can do. Make sure that, no matter how scary your financial situation might be, you confront it head-on rather than trying to ignore it.

Earning a Passive Income from Your Blog

Most bloggers are looking for ways to make extra money. Actually, most people are looking for ways to make extra money. For many, their blog itself becomes this. Some bloggers blog full-time and earn a full-time income. But, for most, at least in the beginning, their blogs are just a way to make a little extra cash around their real-world job. Blogs take a lot of time, effort, and hard work to become anything more than a hobby. Many bloggers are spending more than 30 hours a week perfecting their sites. Writing new content, taking and editing photographs, promoting their work far and wide, working hard to reach a wide audience, interacting with readers, getting to know other bloggers and becoming a part of the community, updating older content and pitching for work. A lot of work goes into every penny that you make, and an awful lot of work never receives any credit, financial or otherwise.

Blogging certainly isn’t passive income. Passive income is something that we’ve all dreamed of. When you earn money from something, without being directly involved day to day. Sure, you might be involved heavily in setting things up in the first place, but once that’s done, your income stream continues to run, earning you money all of the time. While everything is running smoothly, your active involvement is minimal, if you have any at all. But, you’re still on hand to step in and sort things out or make improvements if needed, to keep your income going. The perfect real-life example of this is a landlord. The landlords find the property, perhaps refurbishing or improving and putting it on the market. Then, once the lease is signed they only work to arrange repairs or inspections, and the rent keeps on coming.

There are many ways that you can start earning passive income from your blog. Things that you can set up or add to your pages and posts that will continue to earn money long after you’ve hit the publish button. They can, in fact, continue to make money for years’ time. For as long as your site is online.

Setting up passive income streams takes work, not least in marketing your site, making constant improvements to its content, design, and quality and finding ways to grow your audience. But, it’s income can be well worth it. Especially if you look at long-term results and earnings. Adding passive income streams can even help you to grow your audience, build a loyal readership and improve your rankings on search engines. Here are some wonderful ways to make a passive income from your blog.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is an excellent way to make a passive income. You insert links, in the form of text or photographs, or in widgets and advertisements or banners to products or stores, into your posts and other areas of your site. If one of your readers clicks on one of these links and makes a purchase, you earn a small commission.

Large companies like Amazon run affiliate schemes. These can be great because there’s such a vast range of products that you can link too. Smaller companies, and even local stores also run affiliate schemes. These are often more personal, and you might gain a more significant commission.

Affiliate marketing does take some work. You’ll never earn well just linking to random products or adding a link to the text already within your content. You’ll do much better if you make an effort. If you link to products that you use or love and can recommend and speak passionately about. But, once you’ve sourced the products, found and inserted the links and tailored your post, you hit the publish button, and your work is done.

Advertising is much like affiliate marketing. You are unlikely to earn well with random unrelated adverts on your site. Instead, advertise companies and products that you believe in. Vet your adverts instead of just displaying everything.

Sell a Course

Online courses are becoming more popular all of the time. If you blog in a particular niche and feel like you are genuinely knowledgeable and could help other people, creating a course could be a great way to make money. You’ll have to take the time to set the course up with clear outcomes and objectives and valuable content. Then, you need to add it to your site or another platform and start advertising. But, if your course is easy to follow and filled with meaningful information and tips, which help people more than the regular content on your blog, it could earn well. You’ll still need to be around to reply to emails and offer your students further help, but day to day your role will be small.

Sell Printable and Other Resources

Selling resources is incredibly simple, especially if they work online, or are printable. You could sell designs or tools that you use for your blog. You could sell budgeting tools or spreadsheet templates. Meal plans and recipes or a tool to create them are always popular. Think about things that you use yourself, and things that your readers might find helpful or interesting and start selling.

Publish an eBook

If there’s one thing, all bloggers enjoy it’s writing. It’s much easier than ever before to publish an eBook, which you can then sell on sites like Amazon or on your current blog. If you prefer, use Backbeat Studios to record an audiobook, which is also incredibly popular today.

Earning passive income could change your life. It gives you a way to earn money, consistently without eating into your time. This could give you a chance to quit your job, while still earning enough and having the time to take your blog to the next level. It’s a way to support yourself, and your family while giving them more of your time. It gives you a chance to do the things that you’ve always wanted, perhaps to write a book or travel the world. They say that money can’t buy you happiness, but it can certainly help to ease the stresses that make you unhappy. Passive income is your way to more time and more money. Both of which, can make you happy.

Creating The Perfect Haven To Rest In

We all have hectic lives, and most of us countdown the hours until we’re able to crawl back into bed for the night. However, many of us don’t really pay much attention to the decor of our bedrooms because we either don’t have time, or we simply haven’t really thought about it. Did you know that your body relaxes more when it’s happier with the room that you’re in? An aesthetically pleasing bedroom is more likely to encourage a more comfortable and restful sleep, so take a look at these tips on creating the perfect haven for you to rest in.

Lighting makes all of the difference to how you perceive a room. If a room is too bright and the light glares into your eyes, you’re bound to be less inclined to spend much time in there. If you’re unable to change the kind of bulb or lights in your bedroom, consider investing in a few lamps so that when you do decide to retire to the bedroom, you’re able to relax in a more comfortable light!

Colors in your bedroom also make the world of difference to how you feel and also how you wind down. Bright and bold colors are more likely to excite the brain, meaning that you’re going to find it much harder to fall asleep. Deep and creamy colors are often the best choice for a bedroom as they give off the feeling of warmth and coziness. Consider changing the colors of your room to something more relaxing and you’ll find you’re falling into a much easier slumber.

Every bedroom needs a wardrobe, a bed, and probably some drawers to store all of your clothes in. However, did you know that your bed could be affecting your sleep routine? Have you ever asked yourself how long does a mattress last for? You’ll actually be surprised at how often it’s recommended to change your mattress, and also how easily your sleeping routine can be affected by having a mattress that needs replacing.

The smell in your bedroom is also another important factor to get right so that you can get a good night of sleep. While air fresheners and plugins create wonderful smells, some simply aren’t the right scents for a bedroom as they can end up keeping you awake. For your bedroom, try to go for smells like lavender or special nighttime plugin refills so that you can drift off into a natural sleep! Linen and cotton smells also work really well.

Finally, the technology in your bedroom should be kept to a minimum. So, if you like watching TV in bed, make sure you’ve got it on a timer so that you don’t end up spending your whole night glued to the telly instead of getting some all-important winks! Avoid having anything that’s too thrilling on too so that you’re not tempted to cancel the timer too!

The Incredible Health Benefits Of Your Daily Coffee

Drinking coffee every day is something that lots of people can’t live without. For some, it’s the warmth and comfort that holding a hot cup of coffee provides. For others, it’s the buzz that helps them get set up for the day ahead. However, there are so many more benefits to coffee - read on for some of the incredible health benefits you could enjoy:

Wakes You Up For The Day
Coffee wakes you up for the day ahead. If you’re the kind of person who feels groggy for the first few hours of the day, you’re not alone. Because coffee has a high caffeine content, you should perk up after just one cup, and the effects can last anywhere from 3-4 hours depending on the type of coffee. Fresh coffee is higher in caffeine than instant coffee.

Keeps You Regular
Coffee can also help to keep you regular...if you catch our drift. Some people aren't as regular as they would like and a coffee a day helps them to ‘go’ and feel much better for it.

Tastes Great
As well as the health benefits, coffee tastes great. Some people may need a little time to get used to the taste, but they often wonder how they coped without this miracle drink after a short while.

Has Numerous Health Benefits
Coffee has numerous health benefits that just can’t be ignored. Yes, too much coffee can be bad for a person. If you’re relying on lots of coffee to keep you going every day, you need to address a deeper problem, perhaps with your sleeping pattern or an illness that is making you feel fatigued all the time.

However, a couple of cups of coffee per day can lower your risk of Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, help you to fight depression and feel happier, and provide you with many essential nutrients. Take a look at some of them listed below:

Riboflavin (Vitamin B2): 11% of the RDA.
Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5): 6% of the RDA.
Manganese and Potassium: 3% of the RDA.
Magnesium and Niacin (B3): 2% of the RDA.

Providing you don’t exceed the recommended caffeine amount for your height, age, and weight, drinking coffee every day will help you to be healthier. You can even get high-quality coffee delivered to you so that you never run out of your supply.

You Can Supercharge Your Workout
Drinking a coffee before your workout will help you to enhance your efforts. You should have more energy, and you might even find that you beat some of your previous personal bests. It’s the most natural pre-workout drink you can have.

Burn More Fat
Coffee can help you to burn more fat, so it’s a great drink for those who are trying to slim down. Not only does coffee suppress your appetite, it also speeds up the fat burning mechanisms in the body!

Too much of anything can be bad for you, including coffee, but in the right amounts, coffee does so much more good than harm!

A Step-By-Step Guide To Measuring Your Debt

Sometimes in life, you have to be absolute. You just have to drill down, get to the baseline, and then go from there. That baseline can often involve accepting a few realities that make you feel uncomfortable. It’s vital, though, that you see it as a starting point— the rock bottom that you’re going to be able to build on in the future.

One area of life where you have to strip things back and get to the crux of the matter is debt. For most of us, debt is nebulous; it is many different strings, and we avoid tying weaving those strings into a complete tapestry. We can handle knowing we owe $2,000 on one credit card and $1700 on a loan but add those numbers together into a single figure, and it scares us. As suggests, most of us don’t know how much we actually owe. Perhaps that’s because we’re simply too afraid to obtain the exact figure.

Nevertheless, you need to know that figure. Here’s why:

  • The logistics. You need to know the full figure so you can address it head-on and create a debt management strategy that will work.
  • Planning ahead. If you decide to browse and choose the right company for you, you’re going to need to know the figure you’re consolidating. If you consolidate too little, you could find yourself in need of another loan or debt management plan, so getting the final figure is important.
  • A touch of reality. Many of us bury our heads in the sand when it comes to money. If you suspect you have been doing this, then seeing the final figure might be just what you need to finally address the situation head-on.

When you have accepted that you need to know exactly how much you owe, it may be surprising to realize that it’s tougher than you expected to do. Here’s a step-by-step guide that can ensure you find the correct figure:

Step One: Write to your loans company

Information on loans can take the longest, so this should be your first port of call. You want the exact figure you owe right now, not just the amount you initially borrowed. You need to know exactly how interest has affected the overall debt.

Step Two: Add your credit cards together

Next, add together all of your credit card debt. This is one of the easier steps; you should be able to find account information online!

Step Three: Add store cards and hire-purchase

Store cards should be relatively simple, but hire-purchase can be more troublesome. As with loans, you need to know exactly what you owe right now, not just what the value of the initial goods you borrowed for to you was.

Step Four: Add other debts

This step is a necessary addition and one that is often overlooked if people only look at their credit file to learn how much they owe. To get the true figure, you should also be adding:

Debts to friends or family
Amount owing to your utility provider
Rent or mortgage arrears
Overdue bills

Step Five: Calculate your final total

When you have gathered all of the above, you will be able to calculate exactly what you owe. With that figure in mind, you can now move on and develop a debt management strategy that really works for you.

How to Earn Extra Money With Ease

It happens to almost everyone at some point, everything is ticking along nicely, bills are paid, and there is food on the table when suddenly – BAM, the car breakdown and is going to cost a fortune to fix. Or, the freeze is kaput, and not only does it flood the kitchen due to the defrost but it was fully stocked, and everything is ruined. It was something you couldn’t have seen coming, and not everyone has a rainy-day fund to help take care of those things. So, what do you do? Pinch from Peter to pay Paul? That is going to keep having an impact. Here are a few suggestions that aren’t as drastic and will help.

Pop up a flyer in your local post office, shop or pub offering to run small errands. A lot of older adults struggle to get around and carry all their bags of shopping – you’ll be doing a good deed and making some money.

Sell your stuff. Unless you’re a strict minimalist, you’ve probably got a lot of things you don’t use. List it on local selling sites.

Set up a store on CafePress, or Shopify. All you need is a few ideas for a design, and the rest is pretty straightforward. Items are all printed and delivered on demand, and you get a cut of the proceeds. It helps if you have a decent social network to help you plug this one.

Sign up for Fivver, Upwork, People Per Hour or Freelancer. Put whatever skills you have to good use and make some extra cash.

If your car isn’t the issue, get it wrapped. There are online companies like Carvertise who wrap your vehicle in a brands advertising, and you get paid for it.

Get a loan, if you are struggling because you have bad credit then check somewhere like , make sure you can never borrow more than you can afford.

Wash some cars in the local area, most people appreciate a job well done when it comes to their car, and it’s even more beautiful when the cleaner comes to you.

Give Blood, although you should do this just for the good of it, you can get paid between $20-$50. Not only that but you could check out what is paid for plasma too. It will vary from state to state.

If you find it easy to keep your home in tip-top condition, then why not hire out your cleaning services? Have a simple price structure and your stock of cleaning supplies and work when you can.

In the same area, if you have a particularly green thumb, start growing fruit and veggies and sell them on when they are ready to be potted on. Or, opt to spruce up some gardens.

None of the options are going to work without a little effort, but all of them can bring in a nice side income which can help you cover expenses that you weren’t expecting in the future.

One of my favorite things to do is to read bedtime stories before I put children to bed!  I have been doing that ever since I first started babysitting when I was 15.  My favorite types of bedtime books have always been ones related to God and His love.  We were recently given the opportunity to review God Bless You and Good Night, by Hannah C Hall,  and we think it is too cute!  The illustrations are adorable, picturing animal parents getting their baby animals ready for bed.  The rhyming story and bright, colorful pictures capture the attention of kids and parents too!  It reminds us all that God loves us and always blesses us!

The bestselling God Bless You and Good Night has sold more than a quarter of a million copies as a board book, and this beautiful expanded picture book will make a perfect gift for families.

God Bless You and Good Night sparked a series that is as beloved as it is adorable. The original board book has sold more than 280,000 copies and continues to grow. Living Life Like The Money Pros

Using your money in the right way can mean something different for everyone. For some it’s not touching a penny unless you absolutely need to, for others, it’s donating to charity and making sure there’s a good tax deduction on the amounts each year, and for someone else, it’s spending whenever they want to. So whether you’ve stocked up on coupons to make sure you’re scoring the deals you need, or you’re the kind of person who socks away at least 20% of your income each month into a savings account, now’s the time for you to live life like a money pro. You’ve earned it after all! Here’s a couple of tips to get you started.

Always Pay the Rent First

Something quick to start off with. If it becomes a habit, you’re going to be less and less worried over whether or not you remembered to pay for the roof over your head this week. And because of that, you can afford to relax a little! You can easily budget in a meal plan around this, and even the odd takeout every now and then to make sure you’re living the best life you can.
Present a United Front

If you have a partner, make sure you’re always communicating with them over your plans for the money you earn. And it’s likely that the both of you are funneling funds into the same savings account; most couples do it to increase their chance of a comfortable and successful life. Which means you both need to be on the same page when it comes to the way you use money, as their plans and motivations may be completely different to yours.

When you can tackle any money troubles together, agreeing on the biggest decisions (you can still argue whether off-brand or name brand cereal is better!), you’re going to be a lot happier in your financial situation. You can even better treat each other this way: agree to allow a few dollars at the end of the week to buy something nice or go out for a quick bite to eat together.

Try Your Chances with Investing

Investing is something people find scary, and when you don’t know anything about the nuances or methods of it, it can be! But you can easily learn, and there’s a lot of money pros out there willing to hand out advice on where your money should go to get you the best dividends at the end of the month.

If you have some savings you know are more disposable than they are essential, you can easily use these to test out the waters. You can even try using the predictions of Larry Edelson if you’re really into the idea of making sure any money you put into the stock market comes out again with at least a double return investment. Getting serious with your money saving efforts requires it!

Living life like the money pros will very soon become second nature!
