5 Ways to Have a Shamrockin’ St. Patrick’s Day & Giveaway #CatholicCentral #SaintPatricksDayTraditions Ends 3/26

Disclosure:  We received product as compensation for our honest and unbiased opinion!

Saint Patrick's Day is just around the corner.  Time for me to cook corned beef and cabbage and make shamrock cupcakes.  As a kid, I never really understood St. Patrick's Day.  All I really knew was that if you didn't remember to wear green, you would come home bruised from all the pinches you would receive.  As I got older, I learned that I was ¼ Irish, so I decided to embrace that and to make more out of my day!  It is not all about the leprechauns and the pots of gold, St. Patrick's Day is in honor of St. Patrick who is the patron saint of Ireland.  He helped introduce Ireland to Christianity.  The wonderful people at Catholic Central want to tell you more about what St. Patrick's Day is all about!

About CATHOLIC CENTRAL:

We typically fix cabbage, corn beef, potatoes, along with some green dessert. Order a Shamrock Shake, lol. There are parade's here which toss you food - cabbage, corn, potato, garlic and more! Find something green to wear. My childhood was pretty much the same as yours. My Mom had a jewelry area with St. Patrick day pins and pin figures, also same type of things for Easter. #KissMeNoPinchMe

I like to wear green on St. Patrick's Day. I prepare a meal of Corned Beef, Cabbage and Potatoes for my family to enjoy. When I was younger I enjoyed going out with friends to drink some green beer!

The only thing I do is wear green. No other special plans for the day.

We celebrate St. Patrick's Day and we usually wear green and make treats. My favorite is to make green treats such as frosted cookies or cupcakes.

Thinking I'll make soda bread and colcannon (mash with cabbage). I used to do the traditional corned beef, today that seems somewhat heavy as it's so beautiful out with warm breeze and butterflies in the air.

IN the past we have gone downtown for the Parade but of late we go to a local eatery and they have bagpipers and singers and we have corned beef on rye.

I usually wear green. Although I didn't go anywhere that day because it was Sunday. I make a green breakfast: Green pancakes, spinach leaves, green grapes, and a mint smoothie.

We love having corn beef and cabbage along with a pint of Guinness. We love the shamrock cheese from Costco too! It is so delicious!
