 Comparing yourself to others results in self-doubt and insecurities that translate to low self-esteem and confidence. Comparison comes in many forms; looks, income, and other individual differences.

 Comparing yourself to others results in feelings of envy, and the more you experience them, the worse you feel about yourself.  The first step to boosting self-confidence and esteem is accepting yourself and where you are in life.
